Stagecoach West has seen its operations and operating area significantly increase over the last five years. The latest company to join the Stagecoach West fold is South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach. Richard Sharman visited the Patchway depot one week before the official takeover to see the preparations underway and what operations will be added to the division’s already diverse portfolio
It was a busy scene exactly five days before the official takeover of South Gloucestershire Bus & Coach (SGBC) by Stagecoach’s West division. Preparations were well underway for the integration of operations, although this situation was fairly unique in that Stagecoach already had its North Bristol operations based at the depot and that SGBC was already a major Stagecoach-owned megabus contractor.
