The system allows Transport Managers to provide guidance or disciplinary action

County-Durham-based Stanley Travel has reported the success of using CPT Tacho Analysis.

The firm, which holds the two accreditations, Coach Marque and Earned Recognition, have been using CPT Tacho Analysis software for three years.

The technology, developed by TruTac in partnership with the CPT, is a cloud-based system which integrates with remote downloading options and provides instant access to clear and concise compliance data, including manager and driver dashboards with KPI reporting.

It includes complete web-based, instant digital and analogue tachograph analysis which is fully Earned Recognition-accredited, as well as supporting EU and GB Domestic Drivers’ Hours and Rest Time Rules (including WTD).

“We are one of only a handful of PCV operators that hold ER status and are also one of the founder members,” said Director Andrew Scott. He went on to explain the key benefits that using the system had awarded the operation.

“From day trips and group travel to corporate bookings and the school run, every coach journey must run like clockwork – not only from a customer satisfaction point of view but also in terms of efficient and legal operations. CPT Tacho Analysis plays a major part in achieving this, both through tighter control of key information and in terms of driver debriefing and journey planning.”

The technology enables drivers at Stanley Travel to view and monitor their own tachnograph information, while Transport Managers can access the system from each depot. Reports are also stored in each driver’s main HR file.

“CPT Tacho Analysis was easy to install and is simple to use,” added Andrew. “The system is a superb management tool, helps to reduce infringements and cuts the overall risk of inadvertently breaching tachograph and drivers’ hours rules. We don’t expect a DVSA inspection any time soon, but while using this transparent system, we certainly have nothing to hide!”
