Fred James, Sales Director at Minibus Options speaks to Richard Sharman about the issues surrounding sourcing vans for conversion to minibuses since the start of the pandemic

Buying a new minibus can be a big task when there are so many options out there. Family-run Minibus Options’ aim is to build the minibus that operators need, to operators’ specification, rather than supplying it ‘off the shelf.’ Over the last 30 years the company has delivered over 5,000 minibuses to companies and organisations throughout the UK, with the ethos of working with the customer throughout the buying and build process.

Minibus Options works with the vehicle manufacturer and is an approved converter for Ford, Renault, Renault Trucks UK, Fiat, Citroen, Peugeot, Vauxhall, and Volkswagen/MAN, and has professional working arrangements with Mercedes-Benz and Iveco. Fred James is the company’s Sales Director; he lives and breaths minibuses, and the vans that they are made from. His encyclopedic knowledge of every van platform available is of a great help to his customers, meaning that he can help them choose the ideal vehicle for their needs.
