Swansea Council is offering free travel on local bus services within its area on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays between 30 July and 30 August. The offer is only available on journeys that start and finish within the Swansea Council area and which commence before 2300hrs. The offer is open to all, not just Swansea residents, and valid on services operated by First Cymru, Adventure Travel, South Wales Transport, DANSA, Briggs and Stagecoach.

Longer-distance services by National Express, megabus and Flixbus are not included, nor are First’s X10 to Cardiff plus 9A and 34 Park & Ride routes. However, the offer is available on all other services, provided that the journey is wholly within Swansea. Passengers making journeys starting or finishing outside the area will still have to pay the full normal fare. Passengers with season tickets will not be refunded nor have their tickets extended.

The offer is being paid for by Swansea Council, which says it wants to encourage people to use local bus services now that pandemic restrictions are easing.

Passengers will be able to travel free on journeys wholly within the Swansea Council area. SWANSEA COUNCIL
