Nick Larkin reports on recent goings-on in and around Winchester at the FoKAB running day

Delight over the number of older vehicles attending its running day has been expressed by the Friends of King Alfred Buses (FoKAB). An exceptional 31 buses and coaches attended the Original King Alfred Running Day on 2 May with 11 of those from FoKAB’s own collection.
“The event was a considerable success,” said FoKAB Secretary and Trustee David Morgan. “We were so pleased to see so many older pre-1970 vehicles at the event. These seems to have dwindled in recent years.”
