The first of 103 new vehicles for Harrow Council are delivered by Treka Bus

Treka Bus, which is part of the Woodall Nicholson group, has commenced delivery of the first of a 103 vehicle order for Harrow Council.

The order, the largest single order placed in the history of Treka Bus, comprises of 63 Treka 16 coach-built minibuses and 40 Treka Van conversions. While Harrow Council have purchased a proportion of the new vehicles directly. It has also partnered with contract hire provider Go Plant Fleet Services to fulfil the remainder of the order, with Treka providing delivery of this new fleet for the council.

All 103 vehicles are based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 514 CDI with a seven-speed automatic transmission. The Treka Van conversions will feature 10 Phoenix removable seats. The Treka 16 coach-built minibus features a TDS powered glider side entry door. Eberspacher climate control for passenger comfort is also fitted. More than half the vehicles will be fitted with a PLS access H passenger lift.

Harrow Council also specified a high-quality CCTV system for all 103 vehicles. Treka Bus has installed an eight 1080p HD camera system which has a five-inch dash-mounted monitor and a Digital Video Recorder with a 4TB hard drive, recording all channels in full HD with GPS overlay.
