For the first time, commuters can take advantage of purchasing tickets online with The Kings Ferry, in four steps.
The new facility, which will be available for customers from March 3, is a way to buy travel without having to make a call, come into the office or carry lots of cash on the coach, saving time and giving customers more flexibility.
The new service allows commuters to choose between delivery or collection for annual season tickets and redeem other ticket types on the coach with an automated booking received by email.
Customers can register and manage their accounts online and the new system automatically reduces the rate they pay on selected tickets should a bank holiday feature in that period, making sure customers never pay more than needed. The new system will keep track of all past and current bookings, allowing the user to manage their travel more efficiently.
The Kings Ferry covers 188 pick-up points across 36 services in Medway, Swale and Gravesham including Park & Ride stops. The London service has 15 drop-off points around London from Canary Wharf through to Victoria.
Ian Fraser, Managing Director at the Kings Ferry, said: “We are continually updating our fleet of coaches and investing in new technology to provide a better service and we’re delighted to be able to offer this new service to our customers.”
