The Young Bus Managers Network’s autumn conference took place last week in Croydon. Peter Jackson reports on the second day of the event
The workshop session on bus franchising, where attendees shared their views on the subject in groupsFounded in 2008, the Young Bus Managers Network is a non-profit organisation with one goal in mind: to support and encourage the next generation of management talent in the bus industry. It does this, in part, through its conference events, of which two are held each year.
We covered the first of 2019’s events back in April (CBW1388), and last week the network ran its second event of the year, the autumn conference at the Jurys Inn hotel in Croydon. Each conference is held in a different location, giving industry rising stars across the country a chance to get involved.
Patrons of the organisation, former Brighton & Hove Managing Director Roger French and current First West of England Managing Director James Freeman, were present to welcome attendees to the conference and introduce each speaker.
