GERMANY
During April, Daimler Buses handed over a total of 24 Mercedes-Benz Tourismo coaches to Autobus Oberbayern from Munich and Bus-Verkehr Berlin KG (BVB) from Berlin. Each of the two bus companies has acquired 12 of the high-deck touring coaches, which will be used as team buses as part of their transport commitments for a major sporting event.
CEO of Daimler Buses Till Oberwörder said: “We are proud that Autobus Oberbayern and Bus-Verkehr Berlin are once again placing their trust in Mercedes Benz buses and coaches. We are delighted that the 24 Mercedes-Benz Tourismo 15 RHD touring coaches will be used for the first time at the most important sporting event for me in Germany in 2024 and that some of the participating national teams will be travelling to their matches in these coaches. This trust from our customers is a direct hit for Daimler Buses.”
The coaches are powered by the Euro VI Mercedes-Benz OM 470 engine with an output of 315kW (428hp), which is combined with the fully automated Mercedes Benz GO 250 8 PowerShift eight-speed manual transmission.
