Transport Museum Wythall is offering the public a rare opportunity to travel on its fully restored, and only surviving, Stratford Blue Leyland PS2 double-decker bus on a trip from the museum through Warwickshire and into the Cotswolds to sample the Gloucester Warwickshire Steam Railway.
The trip will take place on two days only: 3 and 10 September. At the railway’s Broadway station passengers will board a steam-hauled service to Winchcombe, alighting to visit the station and museum, the model railway and have refreshments before returning by rail to Toddington station for a guided tour of the workshop to complete the visit before heading back to Wythall aboard the PS2.
The fare, including the rail journey, will be £49.00, with just 50 seats on each trip. The days out can be booked via the museum’s website at wythall.org.uk/excursions.
