Tomorrows Travel has made further investments in its young business by welcoming fleet additions and three new members of staff to its team, including its first female driver and a female manager, following a successful 18 month period since starting out with just the company’s two directors.

Carla Withers has joined the team as a full time driver to drive the ‘purple people mover’ fleet of coaches and buses operated by the company. Carla said: “Purple is my favourite colour so working here feels natural for me. I’ve worked in a few places since Bournemouth Transport closed, but I’m now in a stable environment.”

Andy Sumnall also joined the company recently as Operations Supervisor, having been in driving roles for 10 years. He oversees the daily run-out, fleet allocation and helps to maintain the standards set by the company while being a point of contact for drivers day to day and fulfilling a two year training and development plan with the business.

A further appointment is Mandy Perregil, who was headhunted for the position of Bus & Coach Hire Manager. With over 25 years experience in private hire sales and operations for two larger coach operators in the region, Mandy will assist day to day operations, account management and play a key role in business development.

Director Jason Cousins said: “We have a diverse workforce with a structure to see us continue to deliver growth plans and to a wider network. Mandy brings a wealth of experience to the business, and I am confident that will deliver results across the board.”

Besides investing in staff, established team members have just been awarded an 11% pay increase to account for the increase in minimum wage and cost of living, which the company says makes it one of the highest paying operators in the region for drivers.

The company has also recently invested in two executive specification Irizar i6 12.9m coaches via Universal Asset Finance. The coaches are low mileage examples new to Clarkes of London with identical specification, and have undergone a repaint into Tomorrows Travel livery.

Fellow director Jay Thornton added: “Good commercial staff can be hard to find. We know Mandy has a proven track record in bus and coach hire that will take our plans to the next level while having some female influence in our business. A strong pay increase to retain and attract talent in our team, and our new coach fleet additions, with another high capacity seat belted double decker due shortly, really highlight our commitment to growth and continued investment.”
