Neil Murray enjoys visiting steam railways when he’s on holiday, but he gets plenty of opportunities to enjoy the delights of steam heritage railways when he’s away on tour as well. The Welshpool & Llanfair Railway, which is located across the Welsh border from Shrewsbury, is eager to attract coach groups – offering an eight-mile switchback ride through the Mid Wales countryside.
