Coaches can still pick-up and drop-off for 15 minutes free of charge at Tower Hill coach park – the facility’s operator, the City of London Corporation has confirmed.
It comes after coach drivers contacted CBW amid concerns the charges had increased. According to one driver, it used to be charged at £10 for the first hour and £6 per hour thereafter, while overnight was a flat rate of £20 – it’s now £25.
A City of London Corporation spokesperson told CBW: “A tariff increase was introduced in summer 2017 in order to better meet the cost of operating the coach facility.
“Coaches can continue to park for free for the first 15 minutes to pick-up and set down.
“A flat rate of £10 per hour between 0900hrs and 1700hrs now applies throughout the year. “A separate night rate applies between 1700hrs and 0900hrs, capped at £25.”
