NETHERLANDS Transdev has ordered 42 new low-entry New Generation Citea LE-122 buses, which VDL Bus & Coach will supply and maintain for the Hoeksche Waard/Goeree-Overflakkee (HWGO) operating franchise. Transdev has won the contract, which will run from December this year until December 2038, from existing operator Connexxion. The HWGO concession includes all bus services in the municipalities of Hoeksche Waard and Goeree-Overflakkee, as well as between those towns and Rotterdam, Dordrecht, Barendrecht, Hellevoetsluis-Spijkenisse, Renesse and Willemstad.

Transdev regional director Gosse Veenstra said: “We are pleased to further expand our cooperation with VDL Bus & Coach with this large order for the Hoeksche Waard/Goeree-Overflakkee concession. Through these new zero-emission buses,
we contribute to a cleaner living environment and future-proof public transport. In addition, we are confident that these new buses will further enhance passenger experience.”
