Transdev drafted in drivers from its operations worldwide to operate special services in and around Paris to cater for those attending the 2024 Olympic Games. Drivers and staff members from as far away as Réunion Island and Mayotte helped to transport spectators to Versailles in July and August, and during September’s Paralympics drivers from its Czech Republic, Sweden and Portugal subsidiaries lent support to the company’s transport mission.

Drivers from Göteborg, Eskilstuna, Ostrava, Guimarães, Viseu, Coimbra and many other European cities all helped to answer Transdev’s call for help, delivering the services as part of a melting pot of different cultures and experiences.

The Transdev Group relied on its European subsidiaries to successfully mobilise a total of 1,200 drivers, the mission also helping to build new links and connections between its subsidiaries as well as creating a unique and diverse experience for drivers, who it says left the event with unforgettable memories and the satisfaction of having contributed to the success of an exceptional event.

“At Transdev, we are proud to have created a real bridge between countries to ensure the transport mission of this historic Parisian event. This rich human adventure is a testament not only to our commitment to providing excellent transport services, but also to our desire as an employer to offer our drivers enriching experiences within our international group. By offering them the opportunity to take part in missions outside their usual region, we enable them to discover the magic of this event, while enriching their professional and personal careers,” said Caroline Gonin, Group Human Resources and CSR Director.
