Transdev’s City Sightseeing operation in York has refreshed its offer with a new recorded version of its guide to the city’s sights. Four of City Sightseeing York’s team of live tour guides, who give live commentary on half of the sightseeing services, are behind the recording, which the operator says it will use on its open-top buses at quieter times.
Supervisor Nellie Kay said: “Two of our most experienced guides, Mark and Chris, have worked on much of the research for this project and have put the new recorded commentary together, supported by the rest of our team. I can promise it’s an entertaining listen which really helps our visitors to gain an insight into the real York, present and past. We’re also boosting the frequency of our tour departures from Sunday 20 July to run every 15 minutes instead of every 20, and of course we’ll continue to appear live on many of our most popular departures to create the fun atmosphere that makes our tours so popular with visitors of all ages.”
