Transport UK London Bus (formerly Abellio) mobilised two new Transport for London contracts in late June, on routes 211 and 465, further expanding its business in central and south-west London. The 211 is being operated from Transport UK London Bus’ Battersea depot, and runs between Hammersmith Station and Battersea Power Station using New Routemaster double-deck hybrid vehicles. The 465 operates between Kingston and Dorking and will be based at the firm’s Twickenham depot. It will run with Alexander Dennis Enviro200 single-deck buses.

The company also began operating two new school routes, numbered 639 and 670, in early June, both worked from its Battersea depot using Enviro400 double-deckers.

Commercial Director Alastair Willis said: “We are excited to continue to grow our business at pace and delighted to mobilise these routes on behalf of Transport for London. We now operate over 10% of London’s bus network, providing millions of journeys for Londoners.”
