Travel de Courcey has been awarded the Queens Award for Enterprise in the category of Sustainable Development, making it the only coach and bus operator to receive such an award.

The operator was recognised due to its strong record of growth, innovation and sustainable development. The awards are announced on the monarch’s birthday and are arguably one of the UKs most prestigious business awards.

In the 51 years that the Queen’s Awards have been running, Travel de Courcey is the only coach and bus operator to be recognised.

The operator will be invited to Buckingham Palace for a formal reception with Her Majesty The Queen, alongside the other recipients.

Adrian de Courcey, CEO of Travel de Courcey, commented: “We are thrilled to win such a prestigious award.

“The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is very special and great recognition for the efforts of our outstanding team over many years.”

Simon Posner, CEO of the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), commented: “We are delighted to learn that CPT member Travel de Courcey has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development, the single highest recognised award for British businesses.

“This well-deserved award is a true testament to the continued efforts and on-going commitment of Adrian and the team at Travel de Courcey and we wish them a very enjoyable day at the Palace later this summer.”
