Treka has delivered its first minibuses to Blackpool Council. TREKA

Treka, part of the Woodall Nicholson Group, says it is delighted to announce a new partnership with Blackpool Council, which has recently taken delivery of its first Treka Mobility+ minibuses. Although Blackpool Council already have a large fleet of accessible vehicles, this is the first time it has added Treka models to its fleet. The three new Mobility+ vehicles are already out on the roads, says Treka, supporting college transport for the council’s Adults’ and Children’s Services divisions. Two of the buses are being used for adult college transport, whilst the third is helping younger users.

Designed with flexibility and accessibility in mind, Treka says the buses can carry up to 16 seated passengers or six wheelchair users, and a single sliding door makes getting on and off simple for most users, while the underfloor tail lift offers additional support when needed.

Treka says the delivery marks the beginning of what promises to be a strong partnership with Blackpool Council, and that following driver and user feedback, there may be an opportunity to further expand the town’s Treka fleet in the future.
