Trent barton is currently operating an Alexander Dennis (ADL) Enviro 400 MMC demonstrator on its i4 route between Sandiacre and Nottingham.
The bus is being operated at peak times in order to gauge demand for double-decker vehicles on busier routes. Passengers who board the bus are offered a free journey.
Alex Hornby, Marketing & Communications Director at Trent Barton, said: “We are always up for looking at new ideas and improving the product for our passengers. We were offered the opportunity by ADL to try out the new Enviro 400 MMC and we have placed it on one of our busiest routes.
“Obviously, conducting market research with our customers is critical in our decision making and we have invited their feedback on the bus as part of the trial.”
Alex is leaving Trent Barton this week to take up his new role as MD of Transdev Blazefield Bus Group on February 2.
