The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) has commissioned a series of mini-documentaries which highlight the benefits of using public transport.
The programme is being produced for UITP by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions, the content-marketing division of BBC Global News.
The series called ‘Redefining Public Transport: the changing faces of urban mobility’ emphasises that the public transport sector is focused on people, and will also spotlight the ways in which public transport is evolving and extending beyond buses, metros, trams and trains.
The series shows the rise of; bike-sharing, car-pooling, new mobility players, autonomous vehicles and driverless shuttles.
After the documentary series premieres, there will be an extensive advertising campaign which will target public transport professionals, authorities, consumers and potential industry partners.
