Fresh names to join familiar finalists at prestigious industry awards ceremony

The finalists for the 2015 UK Coach Awards (UKCA) have been announced, as organisers and judges expressed admiration and praise for the quality of the entries this year.

People, projects and organisations are on the list, across categories covering the whole range of activities involved in the planning, promotion and operation of coach services. The winners of five other awards will be announced at the Annual Presentation Ceremony on April 23.

UKCA Chairman Allan Edmondson said: “Many congratulations to all the finalists in this year’s awards. The judges had to make some really difficult decisions in what was a very strong field.

“Coach travel is all about working together to make every journey really special for our customers. To achieve those standards, the industry relies on a whole raft of people and organisations to do their best to deliver.

“We’re really pleased to hear about best practice in all these areas from the people who really matter, and to be able to recognise and reward the commitment and hard work involved.”

The final results will be announced at the Annual Presentation Ceremony compered by Carol Kirkwood, which will take place at the Mercure Piccadilly Hotel in Manchester on Thursday, April 23, when the awards will be presented by CPT President Bill Hiron.
