Stagecoach Midlands has announced that it is launching a new U12 service between Coventry & Warwick University from 2 January, 2020.

The new U12 will run up to every 15 minutes from Coventry city centre via the rail station to the university, giving students and staff a regular service.

The new service follows a £3.7m investment in new ADL Enviro400s for the Unibus services. RICHARD SHARMAN

Students will be able to buy a termly pass for just £99. Making it the cheapest termly bus ticket available; between Coventry and Warwick University.

Phil Medlicott, Managing Director for Stagecoach Midlands said: “When we launched our new buses in September, it was clear that students wanted the option to travel with Stagecoach from Coventry. Having listened to those students we are proud to announce, U12, giving students a frequent 15-minute service from Coventry.”

“It was only a few months ago that we announced our £3.7 million investment in new buses for the student market and these are now all on the road.”

“We are constantly looking for ways to develop our services and investing in new buses and new routes is key”

From the same date, minor changes will also be made on routes U1 & U2. Stagecoach will continue to offer a high frequency seven to eight minute service from Leamington.
