Wrexham-based operator Unicorn Travel gets first MAN touring coach to meet new emission standard
The UK’s inaugural P21 Neoplan Tourliner Euro6c has been delivered to its new operator – Unicorn Travel of Brymbo, Wrexham.
The 49-seater is the second MAN coach added to the four-strong fleet by owner Kevin Carroll.
He said: “We bought our first Neoplan Tourliner, a used example, two years ago and when we came to purchase a new one, we felt confident about what we would be getting and it was at the right price.
“Our drivers and customers all give us good feedback. Driver acceptance is important and the comfort of our customers is obviously an intrinsic part of our service.
“Working with MAN, all our service needs for the last two years have been met by our local MAN dealer, A.N. Richards in Froncysyllte, near Llangollen, and all the repair and maintenance will continue to go there. We have enjoyed great service through A.N. Richards, a local family-run firm.
”We were also able to purchase the coach through MAN Finance, so we have benefited from the complete package.”

Built to Select Plus specification, the air-conditioned 12m coach is equipped with 49 seats with synthetic leather piping and headrests, footrests, a WC, DVD, two monitors and Durabrite alloy wheels. Mechanically, the vehicle is powered by an MAN 12.4-litre Euro6c engine, generating 420bhp, coupled to an MAN TipMatic (ZF AST gearbox). Safety features include MAN Efficient Cruise, MAN Efficient Roll, MAN Telematics and Lane Guard.
