SWEDEN

Having started deliveries at the end of July, UNVI says it is on schedule to complete the delivery of a total of 25 of its SIL double-deckers in the coming months. The buses for the Swedish market have been manufactured in collaboration with Svenska Neoplan, and are built on an MAN RR4 chassis.

The body is designed specifically for Nordic requirements, which place high levels of demand both in terms of equipment and construction due to the harsh working conditions. The body, at 14.2 metres long and 4.2 metres high, is equipped with monitors, USB charging points, reading lights, climate control for Nordic conditions, seats with tables and footrests. Safety equipment includes CCTV, specific interior and exterior lighting for Nordic conditions, and three-point safety belts, among others. The vehicles are scheduled to enter service at the end of 2022 and will operate in the province of Skane, in the south of the country.
