Since September 2009, VDL has built hundreds of chassis for its double-decker coaches at its Eindhoven chassis plant. Recently, the company marked a milestone as the last diesel-engined chassis rolled off the production line at VDL Bus Eindhoven. The event marked the end of the diesel era at the Eindhoven site, the company said, which will now focus on producing the chassis for its electric New Generation Citea.
