Vectare takes over Chelmsford park & ride

Vectare Essex took over operation of Chelmsford park & ride services on Monday 7 March on behalf of Essex County Council. Two routes are operating, from the Chelmer Valley and Sandon sites, running separate loops around the city centre. The new timetables will restore the service to pre-pandemic capacity.

The services will run from 0630hrs Monday to Friday and 0700hrs on Saturday from both sites. Services to Chelmer Valler will operate later into the evening than those to Sandon. Fares remain unchanged but there will be a new offer of 12 tickets for the price of 11 at a cost of £39.60.

A temporary fleet of buses is operating on the park & ride services in Chelmsford while a new fleet to being prepared. ESSEX HIGHWAYS
