The Welsh Government has launched a consultation on the future of bus services. The policy discussion is looking to involve operators, local authorities and passenger groups to develop proposals to improve bus services as part of an integrated public transport system.
The Welsh Government aims to increase patronage, improve the quality and integration of services, set up national and regional integrated ticketing and allow operators to contribute to the development and delivery of the South East Wales and North East Wales Metro systems. It’s also looking to make funding more sustainable.
CPT Cymru has urged operators to respond to the consultation at: https://consultations.gov.wales, with responses invited until May 31.
