A village that faced being totally cut off by county council cuts now has access to a range of services to many different destinations, thanks to a community transport service called Our Bus Bartons. Richard Sharman went to meet the team behind this success story

On recent visits to Oxfordshire, I have often seen a smart green Bluebird Tucana operating in service with Our Bus Bartons, complete with LED destination equipment and happy passengers on board. I thought to myself that it seemed like a really good example of an operator helping the community, so a meeting was set up with the management.

I was delighted to be met by four members of the team: Chair of Trustees Richard Brown, Chair of Management Committee Ken Caldwell, Treasurer Michael Horwood-Smith and Driver John Parry.
