RT1, RT8 and RT113, the lowest-numbered RTs in active use today, are flanked by Country Division RT1700 and standard RF 636. RF136 on the right was the only RF briefly painted in the green and white livery pictured here and used for the 1965 RC Class of AEC Reliances which were bought to upgrade the then already ageing Green Line fleet of RFs. A member of the PR staff dissuaded LT from proceeding with refurbishing the RFs in that livery as it was felt that it would diminish the impact of the presentation of the new Reliances, and so RF136 was painted back into standard colours without entering public service like this.
