Hounslow-based Westbus has taken on two new Iveco Daily-based Turas 600s midicoaches. The vehicles have been delivered through Brian Noone of Kildare, Ireland, which developed the Turas range of minibus and midicoach bodies.

The two 25-seaters were supplied by Brain Noone directly

The 25-seater Euro VI vehicles were chosen after Westbus was given a demonstrator to trial. General Manager Tim Miles said: “We are new to this product and the demonstrator proved to us that this is the best vehicle on the market to replace our older midicoaches. What really stood out for us was the smoothness of the drive and how quiet it was inside.

“Our work can vary from airport pick-ups to corporate events, so it was vital for us to get a luxury vehicle – and the Iveco is exactly that. Passenger comfort is increased by the extra legroom we have.”

The Daily 70C18s, which will remain in service with Westbus for three years, have been fitted with leather reclining seats, air-conditioning, individual LED reading lights, USB charging points, full draw curtains, reversing camera and an on-board PA system. Both feature Hi-Matic automatic transmissions and are powered by Iveco’s 3.0-litre F1C diesel engine.
