William Bradford of Stagecoach London has taken the top accolade at this year’s UK Bus Driver of the Year competition, which was held last weekend in Blackpool.
CBW understands that William is one of, if not the youngest ever winner of the competition and took home a prize worth £3,000.
Stagecoach London Managing Director Mark Threapleton said: “This is a fantastic achievement for William and we are all absolutely delighted for him.
“To be named the best bus driver in Britain, particularly at such an early stage in his career, is superb.
“We have a first class driver training system at Stagecoach and to have four drivers from London in the national finals, one of whom went on to become the overall winner, is great testament to our training team.”
