In a move which it says is ‘set to shape the future of the commercial vehicle sector,’ warranty provider WMS Group has announced a partnership with coach and bus manufacturer Temsa to extend the warranty on its lease vehicles in the UK.
As part of the package WMS Group will provide year three, four and five extended driveline cover on all Temsa’s UK lease coaches and buses, at what the firm calls a ‘pivotal time for the industry when prolonging a vehicles lifespan is intrinsic to a business’ success as new stock remains limited.’
The collaboration will also see WMS handle any associated administration services linked to the warranty claims. WMS said that traditionally any extended warranty cover for commercial vehicles has not exceeded four years, making its new partnership a ‘revolutionary initiative’ for the sector.
