Women in Bus and Coach says it is delighted to announce the return of its annual awards, which will take place as part of its annual summit sponsored by BT in Birmingham this September. Now in their second year, the awards shine a spotlight on the contributions and achievements of women across the bus, coach, and community transport sectors.
Building on the success of last year’s event, the organisation says the 2025 ceremony will introduce a new category aimed at recognising emerging talent, known as the Rising Star Award for Women, alongside existing categories Best Woman in Bus, Best Woman in Coach, Best Woman in Community Transport, and The Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill Best Ally Award.
In addition, one winner from across the categories will be selected to receive the Woman of the Year Award. “Following the incredible success of our first awards, we’re proud to return this year with even more opportunities to recognise the incredible women driving change in our sector,” said Louise Cheeseman, Chair of Women in Bus and Coach. “By introducing a new rising star award, we’re not only celebrating achievement, but championing the next generation of leaders in our industry.”
