In what it says is a significant endorsement of its services within the local community, coach operator Woods Travel has been awarded the title of ‘Large Business of the Year’ at the recent Chichester & Bognor Regis Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2024.

“This award is a recognition of our team’s dedication to providing exceptional travel experiences. We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who has contributed to our service delivery, and to the valued customers we serve,” said Joint Managing Directors Tina Shaw-Morton and Kristy Elsmere.

With a heritage stretching back over five decades, the company has become a well-known name, specialising in international coach tours, local excursions, and private hire services, and also operating as an ABTA bonded travel agency.

The company also recently announced the addition of three new 49-seat Irizar i6 coaches to its fleet, enhancing its ability to offer comfortable and environmentally conscious travel options, adhering to the company’s commitment to sustainability.

Tina added: “This significant expansion of our fleet is a reflection of our commitment to customer care and underscores our promise to delivering the best possible experience to all who travel with us.”

As Woods Travel continues to evolve, the company says it remains committed to the core values of service quality and customer satisfaction established by its founders, Roger Elsmere and Bill Wood when they started the business in 1971.
