Ensignbus has provided a vehicle for the world exclusive doggy city tour bus, created by MORE TH>N DOGGYSSENTI>LS. The tour invites owners and their dogs to embark on a whistle-stop sightseeing tour of the city in an ‘RMC’ Green Line Routemaster coach, provided by Ensignbus.

The vehicle has a low emission engine, perfect for a London city tour and platform doors in case any of the four legged passengers need to make a swift exit. The RMC that has been aptly renamed ‘K9’ was given MORE TH>N branded seat covers and a new livery designed in the insurance provider’s trademark green, complete with bones and dog motifs. Instead of driving down a busy film set, or transporting a bride to her wedding, as this bus is usually doing, the vehicle will be ferrying the pups to some of London’s best parks and central dog walking spots – such as Hyde Park, Green Park and Kensington Palace Gardens.

Steve Newman from Ensignbus told CBW: “We are happy to be involved. It’s something nice and a bit different to cheer everyone up after the holiday period.”

There will be live onboard commentary for dog owners, describing some of London’s rich canine history, including the ministerial dogs of Downing Street and the location of London’s only dog cemetery. Owners are given a map and encouraged to disembark for walkies  around some of the scenic dog-walking spots or alternatively to some of London’s animal-friendly pubs, bars and restaurants for some hair of the dog.

The bus tour has been created by MORE TH>N DOGGYSSENTI>LS to launch its new service – a pet care and protection offering that provides all the essential items for a happy and healthy dog, delivered direct to your door each month. To celebrate the launch, every dog owner joining the bus tour will be gifted a travel-size version of the MORE TH>N DOGGYSSENTI>LS box, containing treats and throwing ball.

The tour will be running from Tuesday, January 17 – Thursday, January 19 and will depart from Lambeth Bridge (North Side), London, SE1 7SG at 1000 hours, 1200 hours and 1400 hours each day.  You cannot ride on the bus without first booking a space.
