Xelabus of Eastleigh says it has a busy summer ahead with special transport operations planned for Lets Rock in Southampton, with up to 12,000 visitors expected on 14 August, then up to 150,000 attending the Victorious Festival at Southsea. Up to 35 buses at Victorious will operate on special camp site, park & ride and shuttle buses to and from the Hard Interchange at Portsmouth.

In addition, as a result of providing vehicles for First Transport Solutions, its buses have returned to the Isle of Wight for the rail replacement services between Ryde and Shanklin/Havenstreet working with Portsmouth City Coaches.

The operator is also providing transport for a major park & ride staff shuttle service between Fort Southwick and Queen Alexandra Hospital at Cosham. Both contracts run for the foreseeable future and into the start of the school and college season.

Hampshire County Council has also awarded Xelabus a number of school tenders, and the company will now be providing exclusive transport for Kings and Westgate Schools in Winchester, Perins School at Alresford as well as St Georges School in Southampton.

Gareth Blair, Managing Director said “We are really excited to be offering our services to more clients and we hope we can continue to build on this going forward.”
