Yellow Buses receives £1.3m Enviro400 MMC fleet

RATP-owned Yellow Buses of Bournemouth has taken delivery of six new Alexander Dennis Enviro400 MMC Euro 6 double-decker buses, equipped with stop-start technology.

Other features of the £1.3m fleet include leather seats and tinted glass, USB chargers for all seats, free WiFi, audio next- stop announcements, extra space for buggies and shopping trolleys and ‘easier to read’ front destination displays.

The buses also have full internal and external CCTV, visual ‘next-stop’ interior signs, full wheelchair access and real time tracking, which links to the journey planner incorporated in Yellow Buses’ app and website.

Andrew Smith, Managing Director of Yellow Buses, commented: “These are impressive state-of-the-art vehicles and a very welcome addition to our fleet.

“They will be used across our local network, allowing as many passengers as possible to experience the very best in 21st century bus travel.”

Yellow Buses currently operates a fleet of 140 buses and 18 coaches, with over 410 employees. The operator carries just under 15 million passengers on its services per year.
