Yellow Buses worked in partnership with BCP Council and South Western Railway to provide frequent shuttle bus services from Bournemouth railway station to Bournemouth pier and town centre for the Air Festival from the 2-5 September.

Yellow Buses already operates buses every three to four minutes from Bournemouth rail station into the town centre, but for the days of operation of the Air Festival the company operated additional buses on top of the existing service, including using some of its open-top buses to make the experience of the Bournemouth Air Festival that much more memorable.

Customers were able to obtain a cheap day ticket for travel on Yellow Buses with a group ticket for up to five people travelling together discounted from £12 to £8 for the duration of the Air Festival.

Simon Newport, Commercial Director for Yellow Buses said: “The Air Festival was a great event for Bournemouth and the surrounding area and we wanted people to travel to the event sustainably on public transport. The rail/bus option made travel really easy and cost effective.”
