Transdev-owned Yorkshire Coastliner has just taken delivery of three high specification Wrightbus Gemini 3-bodied Volvo B5TLs for its popular network of services to and from the East Coast of Yorkshire.

The three 68-plate Gemini 3s are fitted with high-back coach-style seating, two tables to the upper deck which feature contactless mobile charging and plug sockets, USB ports to all seats, additional luggage racks fitted over the rear wheel arches, white LED destination screens, under-seat lighting, double glazed passenger windows, glazed roof panels, air-conditioning, wood effect flooring, electric/heated driver’s mirrors and additional reversing lights over the rear wheel arches to improve safety.

Engineering Supervisor Darren Tempest explained: “The extra luggage space is required on these vehicles due to families going on Holiday from Leeds and York to the East Coast area.

“Large rubbish bins have been specified to the upper and lower decks of the Gemini so that the vehicles remain clean all day.”

The Gemini 3s are starting to enter service this week.
