Like many professionals in all industries, the CBW team is no stranger to social media. We’ll often have a look through the former Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn to see what colleagues, friends and contacts are doing. Trade bodies have done so much over the last few years to highlight the much under-appreciated importance of the coach sector to the tourist economy, be that overnight stays, day trips or even school trips. So although it was no surprise to see a post from the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) highlighting the approximately £14bn that coach operators bring to the UK economy every year and over 23 million individual visits to tourist attractions that they facilitate, the chosen image was definitely one to capture the attention of readers, showing one of Prospect Coaches’ fleet, a Plaxton Leopard, with vinyls depicting the majestic creature after which the model is named and a smartly uniformed driver at the wheel, with a giraffe towering above. Well done to Prospect and the CPT for such an eye-catching message!
