Ford recently entered the passenger transport market in London with a minibus service utilising Ford Transit minibuses. James Day travelled to Greenwich to sample one of four new services
On January 29, 2018, Ford’s Chariot minibus service launched in London. To begin with, four routes are operating, each of which has been set up in an area where Ford felt there was room for improvement in the local transport network.
Chariot operates during the morning and evening peak commuting hours. The exact operating hours vary depending on which of the four services you are on, but it is a maximum of four hours each way, at a 10 minute frequency. The route which I was able to sample, running from North Greenwich through Shooter’s Hill, usually operates between 0630 and 0930hrs in the morning, for example.
