Due to works being undertaken by Thames Water and HS2, ZSL London Zoo will no longer offer parking for coaches until further notice from January 1, 2018.
The works will require a reduction in the size of the zoo’s car park ‘for a considerable time,’ resulting in it taking to decision to bar coaches from parking on site. ZSL London Zoo said it plans to create new coach drop-off spaces, but expects coaches to find an alternative place to park once passengers have been dropped off.
A spokesperson added: “We also have plans to make the car park as flexible as possible so we can respond quickly to fluctuating demand for cars and coaches.
“If your groups have specific access needs, we will do our best to accommodate coach parking in the ZSL London Zoo car park. Please contact our Supporter Services team as far in advance as possible to discuss your requirements and secure a place: [email protected] or 0344 225 1826.”
ZSL London Zoo suggested some nearby on-street coach meters which operators could use. These include Albany Street NW1, with two spaces at £6.00 per hours; Montague Place WC1, with six spaces at £6.00 per hour; and Bedford Way WC1, with two spaces at £6.00 per hour, all in the Camden LBC area.
Despite the withdrawal of coach parking facilties, the zoo is still offering free entry to coach drivers along with a meal voucher.
