Eighteen months after having to abandon her first attempt when Covid-19 brought the nation to a halt in 2020, Penny Ibbott from West Sussex has successfully completed her plan to travel around the coast and border of England using her concessionary bus pass. Rather than start where she left off, Penny decided to start the whole journey again, and this time in the opposite direction – “to keep things interesting” as she put it herself. “And in case you think I’m not daunted by it – I am. A little! That’s why it’s so important for me to remember the reason for this challenge – to raise much needed funds for our hard working, caring St Wilfrid’s Hospice,” said 75 year old Penny.
