At CBW we have an eye for detail, which often extends to branding as we venture around the United Kingdom. Trying to keep on top of branding or vinyl replacement when panels are replaced or vehicles are transferred often results in some interesting sights. Richard Sharman’s recent visit to Bristol resulted in observing a few anomalies and a nice surprise to the local First West of England fleet. Amongst the resurgence of Badgerline-livered vehicles from Weston-super-Mare was something else that harked back to the days before Badgerline and Grampian Regional Transport came together to form First Bus and started ‘transforming travel’; that is depot codes. Admittedly only seen on a few Lynx-branded Enviro400 City CBGs, the small round ‘MS’ sticker on the nearside front corner stands for Marlborough Street depot. Time will tell if other depot codes appear. Elsewhere, there is still some evidence of the old West of England fleet names to be found on the older Wrightbus Geminis, in this case spelling out Bristolngland, wherever that might be.
