National Express is offering music-lovers in Bristol a greener way to travel to this year’s Glastonbury Festival. To mark Earth Day, the operator plans to operate a fleet of zero-emission double-deck electric buses for the first time. Running from 20 to 26 June, the services will transport festival-goers on a high frequency shuttle from Bristol bus station direct to the event at Worthy Farm. With a range of up to 173 miles, National Express says the buses will each offer a saving of 348kg of carbon emissions compared with using diesel buses. National Express is working with EV fleet specialists Zenobē to provide the service.
