National Express West Midlands (NXWM) has repainted its first ALX400-bodied low-floor double-decker into the firm’s new red livery.
The Dennis Trident 2, fleet number 4466, registered ‘BJ03EVV,’ which was new to the now closed Lea Hall Garage in 2003, has also benefitted from a refurbished interior. Allocated to Birmingham Central Garage, the vehicle continues to be used on the 97 Birmingham to Chelmsley Wood route.
Meanwhile, another early low-floor bus has passed into preservation – Wrightbus Renown-bodied Volvo 1415 ‘P515EJW,’ which was new to Perry Barr Garage in 1997. The vehicle is now owned by the locally-based 1415 Preservation Group.
