Hardings’ commitment to tour operator to grow with the addition of a Silver Service Tourismo and the UK’s Luxuria spec Futura

Following positive sales of its escorted tours, Leger Holidays has appointed Droitwich, Worcestershire-based Hardings Coach Company as the operator to add additional vehicles to its Luxuria and Silver Service products.

Delivered by Hardings, the new VDL Luxuria vehicle and Mercedes Tourismo M (Silver Service) will come into operation from April 2016.

The VDL Luxuria, the second vehicle of its kind in the UK following another example with Skills Coaches, joins an existing VDL Silver Service already in operation and a Mercedes-Benz Tourismo M which entered service in March 2015.

Leger Holidays’ Luxuria coach seats a maximum of 31 in rows of three, resulting in significantly wider seats and extra leg room.

The armchair-style seats, some facing into tables, also feature retractable calf rests, personal touch screen TVs and plug and USB points so passengers can electronic devices fully charged.

Roger Dyson, Managing Director of Hardings Coach Company, said: “This is an exciting time in coach holiday travel and we are delighted to have been appointed by Leger to be part of this brand development, which I predict has a very strong future.

“With Leger’s customer base, I believe our new vehicle will be extremely popular and we look forward to seeing its success going forward.

“2016 will see Hardings’ commitment to Leger Holidays continue, now with six vehicles in total, operating across a wide range of holidays and tours throughout Europe.”

Paul McTiernan, Operations Director at Leger Holidays, said: “We are thrilled to be adding two new vehicles, marking the end of a successful year of trading for Luxuria.

“Holidays travelling by Luxuria coach completely sold out last year and 2016 breaks are already over half full, so we expect this year to be another huge success.

“Our Silver Service offering also continues to be popular so with the addition of a new coach, we hope to continue building on its success.”

Leger will be working closely with Hardings to recruit extra crew members and provide training and refresher courses.
