Gains for Abellio and Sullivan Buses in London tenders

Abellio’s TfL operations won two contacts, the 427 and 464, and retained another, the 433.

A new round of Transport for London (TfL) contract awards have been announced, with gains for two Abellio operations in London and Sullivan Buses.

Abellio West London won the 427 from Metroline West, which will use new Euro 6 hybrid double-deckers with a Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) of 23. The contract begins on April 8, 2017.
The 464 moved from Metrobus to Abellio London (new Euro 6 diesel single-deckers, PVR three), with the latter also retaining the 433 (2012 Euro 5 diesel single-deckers, PVR 10). Both start on May 20.

Sullivan Buses took over the 617 and 629 from Arriva London North. Both will utilise a pair of 2010 Euro 5 diesel double-deckers and commence on April 1.

X26 was awarded to Metrobus from Quality Line from April 15. It will use 2012 double-deckers, with PVR of 10.

London Untied retained the 110 (Euro 6 single-deckers, PVR seven) and the 111 24 hour service (2010 Euro 5 double-deckers, PVR 25). Both start on April 29.

Three other contracts begin on April 29 – the 204 (re-awarded to Metroline, 2010 Euro 5 double-deckers, PVR 15), the 236 (re-awarded to Tower Transit, Euro 6 single-deckers, PVR 17 and 394 (retained by CT Plus, new Euro 6 single-deckers, PVR 10).

The 206 was re-awarded to Metroline West, using 2012 Euro 5 single-deckers, along with a pair of 2009 Euro 4 buses (PVR 12).

Finally, the S3 was re-awarded to Quality Line with five 2015 and three new Euro 6 diesel single-deckers. The start date is April 8.
