London tender round reveals wave of new hybrids

A new round of London bus tender results have been announced, with four contracts changing hands. All of the services in the tender round will use new Euro 6 hybrid double-deckers.

The 45 has moved from London Central to Abellio London. It has a Peak Vehicle Requirement (PVR) of 21 and commences on November 11.

Also changing hands on November 11 is the 24-hour number 176, which London Central has gained from Arriva London South (PVR 24). The 24-hour 188 recommences on the same day, moving from Abellio to London Central with a PVR of 26. Metroline gained the 222 (24-hour) from London United. The service will change over on September 16 and has a PVR of 17. The operator also retained the 90 (PVR 16) which renews on September 2. Finally, Arriva London North retained the 24-hour 243 service, which renews on August 19 (PVR 33).
